CONFERENCE VENUE
Almadén is an historic Spanish town internationally recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its mercury mines, the largest and oldest operating in the world for over two millennia. This deep industrial past is the focus of the Mining Park, where visitors can descend into the ancient galleries and explore sites like the Royal Prison and the Royal Mining Hospital of San Rafael. Beyond this heritage, the town reflects its status as a regional center through its traditional Manchegan architecture and local cuisine. The successful conversion of the mines after their closure in 2003 has transformed Almadén into a unique cultural tourism destination that balances industrial history with regional charm.
The events will be held at Escuela de Ingeniería Minera e Industrial de Almadén, located in Almadén, Ciudad Real.
